SENDING RESULTS

Presents HMRC's response to an attempted message submission.

The response may occupy multiple table rows to present a variety of relevant information, including:

• Message Title
   
• Message Type e.g. P14 or P35
   
• One or More Response codes accompanied by descriptive annotation

  The Response Code 9XXX always accompanies a harmless comment. All other other codes represent some serious deficiency.

  • Raised by
    HMRC department that refused the message
  
  
  • Type
    Error type may be either technical (schema-validation...) or business-oriented (business).
  
  
  • Location
    Names the message field containing the erroneous value

• Additional information consists of
  • Timestamp
    The time at which the message was processed by HMRC.
  
  
  • Submission URL
    The technical service involved in processing the message. See Service to understand the difference between Live and Test services.
  
  
  • Correlation ID
    Correlation ID a unique identifier assigned to the message by HMRC
