Help System

To support users in getting to grips with the product, FBI comes complete with an integrated help system.

Main Help

In the top right corner of FBI is a button via which the user can launch the FBI Main Help system. This Main Help is narrative in style and guides the user through the concepts and features of FBI.

Invoking the main help system brings up a title page, containing a brief overview of the product, and allows the user to navigate through the help text in a variety of ways according to their individual needs:

• Table of Contents lets users browse documentation pages in sequential order or jump straight to specific help page of particular relevance to their current needs.
   
• Index of Phrases enables users quickly to locate and open help pages containing important terms and phrases of interest.
   
• Fulltext Search where users can search across the whole help system for the appearence of any arbitrary words of their choice.
   
• Favorites Tab works in conjuction with an Add to Favorites button found on the Main Help Window's toolbar in way similar to web-browser's bookmarks.

Context Sensitive Help

In addition to Main Help, FBI includes focused Context Sensitive Help. Thus, FBI enables you to pull up rich help text specifically focused on the area in which you are currently working.

• To invoke Context Sensitive Help, there is a small button in the upper right corner of FBI next to the Main Help button.
   
• Clicking this button changes the cursor temporarily to a special symbol which the user can direct to any part of the system at any time to invoke relevant help information.
