SETTINGS |
|
Here all the user specific settings can be entered including nickname,
proxy and a list of available TAX REFERENCEs.
The login names assigned by HMRC are often rather long and cryptic making entering them
unnecesarily difficult. To alleviate this pain, custom nicknames may be introduced.
When logging into FBI, nicknames act as user-friendly substitutes for the
cryptic (HMRC-supplied) login names.
Organisational security policies may limit direct internet access, and often mandates a
Proxy Server. Where such a Proxy Server is in place, it must be
identified to FBI by providing the following set of properties known to your network administrator:
| hostname |
a mandatory property in a form of a DNS(computer) name or an IP address
|
|
| port | a mandatory property in a form of an integral number | |
| username | an optional property | |
| password |
an optional property used in conjuction with username
|
There is a table listing all known TAX REFERENCEs. Each such TAX REFERENCE
must be accompanied by Payroll Server settings, to which associated messages are routed.

Verify tries to connect to remote HMRC servers to verify that the Proxy settings are correct.
Add a new TAX REFERENCE to the list.
Remove a selected TAX REFERENCE from the list.
Test the selected Payroll Server connection.
