ARCHIVE FOLDER

Users of Microsoft Windows and Apple Macintosh will be familiar with the role of a Trash Bin to hold their deleted files. FBI's Archive folder plays a similar role, holding messages that the user has elected to delete from the Inbox or Sent folders. Deleted messages, once placed in the Archive, can be reviewed by the user, saved to the computer's filing system, transferred to Payroll System, or deleted permanently.

Secure Local Storage

FBI holds all the Archive content locally on the computer's disk. This ensures that the content of the Archive folder is available even while working without an active internet connection. Read Working Offline for a deeper understanding of the conditions and limits for offline work.

To prevent security risks, the stored content of the Archive folder is always held in a secure encrypted form. Furthermore, this content is always organized on a per-user basis ensuring that messages can only be read by their real owners.
